Robbin Söderlund & Marcus Wennesjö are Brilliant. That isn’t a cringing boast, but the confident moniker now associated with two very promising blips on the Swede House radar. Taking their first shot at Armada offset Zouk Recordings, the duo plant two solid tracks in order to prove their worth amid the hordes of perky Swedish contenders currently doing the rounds. While ‘Higher’ appears a relatively tame contender on its ascent to the tracks drop, its mechanical precision and dutifully brutal Electro leads make for an unexpected triumph in multifaceted musical stylings. The delicate intertwining leads of ‘Action Mode’ may not mirror the title so aptly, but with notable precision their transition to the saw-led sanctuary forms an unoffensive B-Side for this landmark EP from a rather fresh asset to the European ranks.

As far as British House assets are concerned, few artists have touched on the same continuous streak of brilliance as Toolroom’s leading hit monger Mark Knight. Still ablaze from the notoriously fierce remix of Florence and the Machine’s ‘You’ve Got The Love’, Volume two of his ‘Bullets’ EP series extends the distinction that was conjured by last year’s debut instalment. Where soulfully tuned A-side ‘Alright’ shows off Knight’s gritty yet melodically refined studio dexterity with an intense injection of subtly distorted leads, ‘Together’ reels in the exotic poolside appeal that Toolrom have become all-too adept in providing amid their global romps. Always leading with quality over quantity, volume two of this infamous series of EPs fails to disappoint and is a reassuring indicator that Britain’s sharpest House veteran is still at large for 2012.

Comfortably poised as one of Holland’s most prolific Electronic artists to date, Fedde Le Grand has remained well and truly at large where House music is concerned. Already established as key players on the international circuit, Sweden’s Johan Wedel and German producer Deniz Koyu, donning a noteworthy amount of steam to this forthcoming Flamingo release, have seen a positive influx of attention from the international House scene, using their hard-hitting remode of James Blunt’s ‘Dangerous‘ as a positive nod towards the diverse potential of their collaborative efforts as Europe’s latest promising House explosion.

In a tough yet melodic outing of rising Progressive House and chugging synth leads, the European trio find themselves well in their element with an intense take on a genre that Le Grand has not only mastered, but set the standard to an all-time-high for. From the subtle melodic stylings right through to its launch into floor fuelled leads, whoever said too many chefs spoils the broth evidently never sampled such poised studio talents as collected in this latest Flamingo outing. In a promising tip to the rising Swedish and German appendages of this latest collaborative, an injection of fresh talent doesn’t seem to have hurt Fedde in his quest to take the globe by storm courtesy of the fresher ranks of his label’s newly orientated family.

Dutch masters of the bleep Bassjackers return to Doorn Records for their debut instalment for the imprint of Sander Van Doorn alongside Indonesia’s primary House export Angger Dimas. Already frequenting such esteemed imprints as Musical Freedom and Wall Recordings, this triple threat effort calls upon their respective studio dialects to forge an intense romp of dignified club fuel for the first-quarter of 2012. In their usual manner, Bassjacker’s influence can be easily identified within the piercing lead play that makes up the majority of its melodics. At its apex, however, the grinding chord play and mechanical precision of this impressive outing make for one of the years most interesting Electro outings so far. Still encompassing an impressive air of uplifting melodic vibes amid its drops, the assorted trio certainly do their six-handed studio endeavour some serious justice, setting the standard from here onwards to an all-time-high for a year that they will have little trouble conquering.

Responsible for some of the most revolutionary tracks over the past year, including his much talked about break-through single ‘Lick The Rainbow’ and the Deadmau5-influenced ‘We Are Now Connected‘, Estonian 21 year old incognito that is Mord Fustang makes his first mark in 2012, coming out with a diverse, new four-track EP. Running with a structure similar to those that have carried himself as a DJ and producer from the outset, the EP’s headliner ‘Windwaker’ draws on playfully distorted leads and robust beats to form something of a captivating contender for Miami. Though the remaining three may not hold the same catchy elements as the aforementioned headliner, ‘Super Fever’, ‘Welcome To The Future’ and ‘The Majestic’ sure do play their roles as essential contributions well to a package with a purpose to shed light on innovativeness and futuristic beats.
